Specialties
Alliance welcomes teens and adults for individual psychotherapy around anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, and relationship patterns.
Men's Mental Health
Maybe anger comes out more easily than grief or fear. Whether you are a teen or an adult, you may feel expected to handle everything on your own. Therapy offers a direct, nonjudgmental place to understand those patterns, strengthen your relationships, and find ways to express what matters to you.
Trauma Processing & EDMR
Difficult experiences can continue to affect your thoughts, emotions, body, and relationships long after the event itself. We will take time to understand how those experiences show up in your life now. When appropriate, EMDR or body-based work can be part of the process. If trust has been difficult, it is okay for our relationship to develop before we go deeper. We will choose a pace and approach together.
Athletes & High Performers
Teen and adult athletes can be skilled, disciplined, and prepared yet still feel stuck when the pressure rises. Performance anxiety, injury, loss of confidence, and the “yips” can affect more than the moment of competition. As a former Division I athlete, I understand how closely performance and identity can become connected.  Together, we can explore what is getting in the way and work on how you respond when it matters.
What is EMDR?
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. After a painful experience, reminders can activate a connected network of memories, emotions, beliefs, and body sensations. Your nervous system, which helps govern stress responses, may react as though the danger is still present. EMDR helps us work with that response. You briefly bring part of the memory to mind while following alternating eye movements, sounds, or taps - called bilateral stimulation. This creates dual attention: you notice the memory while staying aware of the present. One explanation researchers are studying is that this may engage working memory, helping the experience become less vivid and emotionally charged. We can decide together whether EMDR fits, with our relationship at the center.
